Photographer Juliette Conroy was born in London, England. As a teenager she relocated to Australia where she studied art and design at the West Australian Institute of Technology. She now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
As an artist Juliette, through selective focus, blurred images and cropping, uses the camera not to faithfully record the subject, but rather to create a distortion, an organic wave of shape and color, resulting in an image that is as much about feeling as seeing.
Juliette's work has been shown in galleries and museums throughout the US and is in a number of private collections. A resume is available upon request.
